"Petty Officer 2nd Class Marissa Gaeta from Placerville shared a kiss with partner Petty Officer 3rd Class Citlalic Snell of Los Angeles on Wednesday as Gaeta's ship, the amphibious landing ship Oak Hill, returned to base at Virginia Beach, Va., after an 80-day deployment to Central America. Gaeta was chosen to have the honor of the 'first kiss' as part of a raffle in which sailors bought $1 tickets to raise funds for a Christmas party for military children. Gaeta said she bought $50 worth of tickets. Navy officials said it was the first time a same-sex couple was chosen to have the first kiss. The first-kiss is a Navy tradition for ships returning to port. David Bauer, the commanding officer of the Oak Hill, said the crew's reaction was positive when learning that Gaeta and Snell would have the first kiss. Before the kiss took place, he told AP: 'It's going to happen and the crew's going to enjoy it.'" "The crew is going to 'enjoy' it"?! Is that an order sir?! Does that include Christians, are they ordered to enjoy it, Commander Bauer?

Concerning the above link: One of the oldest Christian churches in the world is the ancient Church of the East, founded by the Apostle Thomas in Mesopotamia, modern day Iraq. These Arab Christians lived in the middle east for centuries before Islam even existed. Since the invasion of Iraq in 2003, more than half the population of Iraqi Christians has fled that country amid widespread violence and persecution. The Iraqi Christians lived in relative peace and safety before the U.S. invasion of Iraq, even under Saddam Hussein's brutal reign, (an anomaly compared to most Muslim countries), and George Bush made almost no provision for their well-being or protection after the invasion. While Bush expounded on the virtues of the "peaceful religion" of Islam, Iraqi Christians were being killed, their churches were burnt, and their Archbishop was assassinated. America, a nation founded on Christian principles, has spent billions of dollars and shed the blood of our young men to set up two regimes in Iraq and Afghanistan based on the brutal Shariah law of Islam. This would be tantamount to having set up another Nazi government in Germany after winning WWll, and letting the "peaceful Nazis" run that country. Since the inauguration of President Obama, the conquering nation has heaped insult upon injury, by celebrating a "gay pride" ball in the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. Hail the conquering heroes, we have certainly brought "diversity" to the land where Abraham, the father of faith, was born.
